Objective:
This is a project that utilizes photography to convey a concept inspired by a style of music and a pre-existing album title and artist. It provides experience combining photography with typography, layout design, and packaging at different scales. A key part of this assignment is exploring and problem-solving to create a professional and visually engaging presentation.
Research:
Research was conducted on the chosen albums to create a pitch and generate ideas for the album covers that would relate to the music within the album itself.
Rough drafts:
Photos were taken for the final and then edited.
Typography:
Typography was explored and iterated on to feature the album name, artist name, and song titles.
Final:
The final was physically constructed using matte paper and sticker paper over a preexisting LP and vinyl record.
