Objective:
Create a series of 3 Posters to showcase 3 music artists/poets performing in a show called Elusive Echoes. The posters should feel connected but also be visually distinct. Each poster should represent the poets and catch the attention of music lovers who would be attending the show.
Research:
Research was conducted to understand each of the poets' music and other works. Images were collected that used typography in a way that was inspiring for the project.
Typographic and Texture Exploration:
Different Typography and textures were found and photographed. These were used for inspiration and potentially incorporated into different design directions.
Typographic Sketching:
The explorations were then used to experiment physically, which led to fragmented or distorted text, which could be used in the pursued design.
Digital Ideation:
Design systems were explored through explorations and sketches, gathering as many ideas as possible to see which direction was worth pursuing with our audience.
Digital Iteration:
After choosing our desired direction, iterations were made to communicate the concept effectively. The first poster of the series was completed to provide a strong foundation
Series Exploration:
A design system was established, and other posters were built upon by using key elements and hierarchies to ensure the series feels connected while also highlighting aspects from the poets.
